This is Paige and Destiny in March, 2006.
To learn about how I started in training go to http://www.obediencefreak.com/jeananddogs.htm
I feel that training really helps both dog and owner. The main reason our best friends, dogs, end up in shelters is because of the lack of training. I hope to help lower this horrible statistic. If you are interested in adopting an unfortunate friend please visit http://www.petfinder.com/ or locally a great rescue group I help with http://www.animalrescuekompany.org/index.php. It is so rewarding to give a dog another chance at life.
In my training, I love to have fun with dogs. It should be fun! I understand fully that all dogs are different and may learn better different ways. We are all unique and so are they. I don't like to limit myslef to just one technique in training. I tend to find myself taking on the tougher to train dogs. I love the challange and the new things I can learn from them as opposed to the easy to train dogs. I don't own the traditional, easy to train dogs because of this either. I enjoy attending many different seminars on dogs; training, showing, etc.
A trained dog means a happy dog and owner!
